2014 Kentucky Derby: 19 Days Until A New Champion Is Crowned

One of the best spring rites ever created is nearly upon us. The first Saturday in May will bring us the 2014 Kentucky Derby. Very soon the hopes and dreams of owners, jockeys and trainers will be on display at the fabled Churchill Downs oval, represented by the magnificent and amazing thoroughbreds. One will charge to the finish line to etch his place in history, and only one will have a chance at Triple Crown glory. Much can happen over the next 19 days, and I will be following closely. Time will tell if this is the year that we see another Triple Crown winner. There have been some valiant attempts over the past decade, including most recently Smarty Jones, but none could accomplish what owners Karen and Mickey Taylor from the tiny town of White Swan, Washington did with the incredible Seattle Slew 37 years ago. Stay tuned for complete race analysis, free IC selections for the entire card, and more.
