The King of Hearts : Baseball Diamonds & Life
35 years ago my father passed away after a long and excruciating battle with cancer. He was truly one of the most courageous men I have ever known. His kindness and compassion for all human beings, especially those less fortunate, was undeniable. On Father's Day 2014, I wrote a short piece here on my blog, reliving a moment in time that has stood still for me all of these years. This book is the rest of his story. I tried to finish the story in 2014, but life happened in the worst way. My mother, who never smoked once in her lifetime, succumbed to an incurable lung disease and passed away late in 2014. Though she had read brief snippets of the beginning of the story, sadly she passed before the story was complete.....
I didn't know then, that the story could not be completed until May of 2016. When you read what happened, it will amaze you and remind you of just how mysterious life can be. I would like to thank you for taking the time to get to know my parents and the love that they showed to the world. Their love made it a better place. Thank you Mom & Dad.
